Thanks for all the great replies. I feel like I know what I have to do next, which is learn as much as possible about my rv electrical system and get myself a voltmeter.
So many great tips, as when I checked there indeed was a light left on in the trailer "basement" and I didn't realize to expect my batteries to come back discharged from the service dept, but now I know that is common place.
Trailer was plugged in all night, all in all it took about 15 hours to recharge the 2 deep cycle 6 volt batteries but they are charged now and the converter fan isn't running anymore either.
