Battery draining fast and converter running hard

I would add that your on-board battery monitor is likely a piece of **** and using it as a benchmark for battery status is a bad idea. It takes a long time to fully charge a depleted battery - my guess is that the only thing you need to do right now is be patient --- and go down and buy a multimeter (not that expensive and essential equipment for RVers).
