battery draining

I have a 2006 Thor class A motorhome. Something seems to be draining the battery. We were unable to lower our self leveling jacks because battery had low voltage after driving for over 5 hrs. Then the plug fried we had plugged into campsite. Took the plug and got it fixed and got a new battery. This morning woke up and the lights wouldnt work and test level showed battery was dead. What could be causing our battery to drain?

  • If plugged into shore power, the converter is not getting any power.
I would start at the pedestal and varify that you have power. It is possible that the breaker tripped when cord body fried. Reset the circuit breaker and test.
Your battery will discharge if refer is running, requires 12 volts DC even running on LP. Carbon monoxide detector draws power. Varies other parasitic loads.
