I wonder if your unit can supply 11 amps constant AMPERAGE at oh, say. 15.2 volts BFL13?
That, is the nominal equalization amperage for a 220 ampere hour battery.
No the VEC1093DBD goes to 15.7 for equalizing but is limited to the 4 amp setting doing that. No matter what the bank's AH capacity, it stays at 4.1a then tapers to under an amp, then says FUL. You check SG and if not up there, run it again.
OTOH, the 100amp PowerMax charger with variable voltage I have has no real amps limit like that, but here is what happens with it. No sign of 11 amps there, still does 4ish same as the VEC.
So IMO the 4amps is battery acceptance related not charger limited.
Here is from a post I did on that a while back:
"So once that all gets done the batts are charged up? Nope, SG is lagging with my 6s so I know I need to keep the Finish stage going longer at maybe higher voltage. For that I have been using my VEC1093DBD which does Equalize at 15.7v and starts at 4.1a--then tapers as battery comes up.
So how does the PowerMax do it at 15.5 vs the Vector at 15.7? I split the bank and put the Vector on the pair of Exide GC135s 6v (226AH) and the PowerMax on the pair of Interstate GC2 XHDs (232AH)
Both kicked off at about 4amps and the amps tapered about the same over time as SGs came up. After approx four hours, the Vector said Full and shut down, while the PowerMax was still doing 2 amps. It does not have the auto shut down like the Vector. So turned that off too. SGs on both pair of batts was right up. Very nice."
