The best anti-sulfation protocol on the face of the earth IMHO is maintaining correct storage voltage with occasional top charges. Wonder how many of these gyro gearloose maintenance charger boys ever autopsied a battery plate by plate and did spectral analysis of sediment and remaining lead dioxide?
Ask your local telecommunication entity if they use "pulse" anything. Plates are fragile when they are good. It's when lead sulphate crystals link together (lattice) grow larger and expel wetting action that the plates suck it up and can take a physical and chemical beating and laugh it off.
