I have a real life example from last week. Ran the eu2000i 3 days, about 2 hours total each day, pushing about 45 Ah into the battery, 15 minutes of microwave time and 10 minutes of electrically boiling a quart of water. Burned about a quarter gallon of gas each day. The "generator hours" encourage fast-as-possible charging. The battery would start out pulling 50 amps, but even in boost mode that tapered down after 20 minutes or so as the SOC went up.
The boiling of water, and using the microwave were the big hitters on the fuel consumption for you, running the Eu2000i full throttle, or certainly above Eco mode speed. My Eu2000i didn't even break a sweat in eco mode, with my PD 9245 in bulk mode and a 60 to 70% SOC T-1275. Yeah, 2 hours would do it. I'd take my daily shower too, with the generator running, if at all possible.
If hours are short, gas is precious, and peace and quiet take precedent over the drone of your juicemaker for your battery, then the MeanWell /MegaWatt stand alone, installed close to the batteries in your storage space with a timer is a very efficient option, if your budget can swing it.
Good point and thanks for the real life examples, Wayne.
