I have a question about the break away system.
I bought a new 16' landscapers type trailer in the late '90's. It had the breaker away brake system on it, with the small square 12 volt battery on it.
After a couple of years or so. I wondered about how the battery was holding up. So I took it in to my heated shop for the winter, thinking that it might need charging. It did not need charging, and was in good shape.
A few years later I bought a new flat bed, it also had a break away break away system on it. But this one has touch pad type push buttons on the battery box, to check the battery. But I find that I don't unplug the battery when the trailer is not in use, the battery will run down.
Are all of these like this? I find this is a pain to remember to do.
Thanks,
Dusty
