You can use the LK like any deck mount converter as a portable charger. Just cut off one end of a set of #4AWG jumper cables with the "parrot clamps", and stick those wires into the converter's terminals.
That way, you can leave your existing converter and all that in place, no work to do. Use the portable for off-grid 50-90s or for equalizing at home, and use the existing converter when you have shore power to do the Float.
