No reason you can not have 3, or 4 or 5 or 6 or N 12 volt batteries in parallel.
HOWEVER.

These are MARINE/deep cycle batteries for the most part (case matters in my post) meaning they are mostly MARINE with lip service to deep cycle, they like to be 75-80% full and do not recover well if you run 'em down too far.
GC-2 pairs (xix volt, two of them wired in series to make 12 volt)
220 amp hours. you can safely use 1/2 of the capacity of these DEEP CYCLE batteries. so for the cost of about two Group 24's you get 110 amp hours usable power.
About the same as with THREE Group 31's but for far less money.
