true, but if the OP is just using them in the evening to watch TV or a few lights, then recharge in the daytime even on decent 12V marine may more than satisfy his needs. especially if they don't need to run the furnace.
IMHO if your most often hooked to shore power and only need batteries for evenings occasionally GC while good are overkill.
And I'm one who uses GC 4 of them since we boondock for weeks at a time. But others I know that only dry camp for an evening or so I've said try one or two 12V, and they come back with yup guess I didn't need to spend money on GC batteries.
