If you read the entire blog the recommended chargers push the battery to the gassing state. I do not want my batteries off gassing in an enclosed area. Off gassing will create corrosion especially in the tight confines of a motorcycle battery box. Secondly, all of the recommended chargers require a disconnect at a specific period. I plug all (5) of my BT Jrs in and forget them until I need to use my stuff. I put switches between my boat batteries (start and deep cell) so I could use both for a boost if my electronics were to run the start battery down. Now instead of one charger on the trolling motor battery and one on the start battery I activate the switches and charge both off of one BT JR. It works great and my batteries have not used a drop of water in 3 years with 700 hours of water time.
