Battery Trojan vs. LIfeline

Ok, i've done my research, measured my area for a 2-battery bank and am looking at these two possibilities:

1) Lifeline - GPL-6CT RV - 2 6-volt AGM batteries - $440.99 + s/h - Total = $1,023.94

2) Trojan - T105-AGM - 2 6-volt AGM - $275 + 27 core - Total = $640

Looks to me like the lifeline would provide a much greater (almost 40% more) battery capacity; while the Trojans are about that much cheaper. Am i thinking right?? What say you?

  • In late 2013 I paid $440 for (4) Trojan T-105's..........I fail to see any value in an AGM battery at $300 per battery.......what are you specifically trying to accomplish with the AGM 6 volts?
  • Up here Trojan T105 are running around $165 each, so is there really a AGM version thats $100 more each? I cant imagine having $1000 worth of batteries sitting on the front of my rig (or walking away). If your a dedicated dry camper 2 T105 + small inverter + Honda/Yamaha generator (or solar) will serve you well.
