I also use one of these. My batt are in the gen compartment and easy to fill.

I have the same system Works well, but it's kind of a PITA. (to re-fill the battery's) My battery's are not in a tray that slides out, and I have 4 of them,in the storage area of a 26Q Fleetwood and 2 under the entry step.

Installed the BWT system today. Needed to plumb most of the tubes myself as the battery cables are in place and not moving. Worked like a champ. New batteries in two more years.

Yes the batteries are getting older to where they are using more water. Just getting to a PITN to hunch over and see the level as the water goes in. I have one of those watering cans posted by Dakota98 and still I think I want to go to the next level.

If I eventually give in and get new batteries I still want the watering system. Either way I am going to stick with wet-cell.

MEX, I assume the poisoning of the plates is part of normal aging. Any way to reverse?

Looked at the Pro-Fill brand... seemed like a lower quality consumer item.

The "sound" part defeats me with my near deafness. Nylon and Teflon are two materials that withstand H2SO4 well

A vast percentage of excess electrolysis is due to antimonial poisoning of the negative Pb sponge plates.

I learned this trick from an oldtimer many moons ago, and it works very good.
Attach a length of plastic hose to your battery syringe. (I prefer to adapt it down to a small size, no larger than the syringe)
Slide the hose down 1 side of the fill inlet till it hits the ledge, which indicates the max fill level.
Then proceed to fill the battery using small short strokes of the syringe.
Whenever you get air back on the vacuum stroke, the battery needs more.
But as soon as you get a slurping sound, you will know that the level is flush w/ the end of the hose, then go to the next.

If you prefer a lower level, you could move the hose down a touch I suppose.

And if you are the type that is afraid that transferring a touch of electrolyte from 1 cell to another is going to kill, this may not work for you.
But in reality, once you get the hang of this, there isn't much that can work better.
