If your batteries are in a hidden area or your unable to look directly into the cells, a remote filler is in my opinion, a necessity. Two of my 4 - 6 volt batteries are hidden and its a breeze to top them off when necessary. The other two I can see clearly so I didn't make the investment in a 4 battery system. I use a different brand but operation is similar and you'll check your batteries more often when its so easy to top them off.
