The watering system might not be needed for the replacement batteries which the solar controller can look after again.
  • I looked at getting a watering system, but just couldn't get my head around a $50 expenditure for my 2-GC, just didn't make sense to me. Albeit a simple task, it is still one big PITA.

  • If your batteries are in a hidden area or your unable to look directly into the cells, a remote filler is in my opinion, a necessity. Two of my 4 - 6 volt batteries are hidden and its a breeze to top them off when necessary. The other two I can see clearly so I didn't make the investment in a 4 battery system. I use a different brand but operation is similar and you'll check your batteries more often when its so easy to top them off.
  • the bag from a box of wine works for me. just filling it is pita.
