- RJsfishinExplorerPeople badmouth the OEM battery monitors, why, I don't know ! Any batt monitor beats nothing. If a battery monitor shows the batter voltage into the charging category, (above 13 volts) you can bet its charging !
But that's assuming the monitor reads zero when off. :( :)
OP, the readability of your post, sucks - wolfe10ExplorerTemporary "fix" for bad isolator. Mark and remove wires from wire to one battery's large lug and install it along with the other battery's lug. You have effectively bypassed the isolator.
If this doesn't work, you can combine alternator output and battery charge wire. - HatyaExplorerOf course my meter is at home.
