Battery wrench- save your face
Arcing at the battery can cause a battery explosion in your face or damage something so be careful. Cut the box end off and cover with heat shrink.

Therein lies the problem. Disconnect the ground first, and move it away from the battery and you'll have no worries.
Respect a battery just like you would a firearm. It has the potential to seriously injure or even kill you.
X2 on this one. The negative should always be the first off and the last on. JMO
