Every time an American posts about fuel costs I just roll my eyes. :B Here in town this morning I noticed the price of regular @ $1.20 Cdn per litre ... with a US gallon = 3.785 litres that means a US gallon here would be ~ $4.54 Cdn or at the current exchange rate ~ $3.53 US. Quit yer whinin'! :W
Most of the way south this year diesel was 3.00 bucks to 3.39 going through 5 western states. Its not that far off from what we pay in the BC interior and actually more expensive than Alberta. An Albertan pays the equivalent of 2.95 a gallon so if they are heading south they will probably pay more for fuel all the way south. Same for those from Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Further east in the states diesel seems to get cheaper. BC seems to be about 30 US cents per US gallon more expensive. None of our vehicles use gas so I don't pay attention to it. I noticed this summer that gas seemed slightly more than diesel in Canada but diesel is more than gas here in California. Power here is about 2 times what we pay in BC. Our motorhome is diesel but our cars are electric so more pricey to drive here with the car. Still comparatively cheap though.
