What do other companies have?
In this part of the world the ‘other’ companies have local governments and quasi-government bodies are tripping over each other building FREE high speed charging stations for the public, especially the ‘public’ that works in those public buildings.
The (local government owned) electrical utility just north of Toronto installed multiple high speed charging stations at their head office just off the main highway between the playground of the rich & famous, Muskoka, and Toronto.
On Friday & Sunday nights there’s a line up (almost exclusively) Tesla’s getting a free top-up for the commute to cottage country.
Tax-payer subsidized private vehicles. Maybe I can send some gas receipts in with my property tax payments and ask for reimbursement.
Bahahahahahahahaaa!
What operates quietly and well imbedded in the background are Legions of Public Policy housing and transportation Planners (in and of itself, a self-promoting elitist ‘gov’t servant’ class) whos gold-plated careers thrive and prosper off of their tax payer funded dreams (schemes driven by planning edicts) designed to reconfigure a society (housing density and transportation) according to their own myopic mold, in the name of progress, but in reality, promoting egalitarianism as a subtle means of a higher an unapproachable virtue...
An astute Musk simply taps into this gerrymandering at both the Federal and local governmental levels...
Most private sector workers could only dream about having these utopian (mostly unanswerable, unaccountable) gov’t planner positions along with their economically unsustainable defined benefit guarantees...
Though natural gas is a most plentiful natural energy source (hundreds of years worth including satisfying future transportation needs) and clean burning, and easily adaptable to present day vehicles with existing distribution systems already (mostly...) in place,
Yet per the cumulative synergy of the above mentioned gov’t crony models, there is almost no discussion about ‘other than EV’ solutions....Ever wonder why??...One would be wise to follow the money (a crumb trail of subsidies, incentives and careers - $$ - all cloaked in a shrowd of virtue signaling...)
Recall the old adige, “There are those that watch things happen, those that make things happen, and those who wondered what just happened...”
The wise P.T. Barnum nailed it!,
