FWIW ... whenever I take our 1995 pickup, or our 2002 sedan, or our 2005 RV in for service or repair I ask a Higher-Up at the facility: About how much longer do you think you can take care of my old-school vehicle?
Thank goodness so far their answer has been something along the lines of: Not to worry, we can easily get parts for this yet.
(Believe it or not ..... it's getting the nearly obsolete size tires on these that is beginning to concern me! What's with this band-wagon tire thing of hard riding skinny low air volume tires on huge diameter rims - I thought this was only necessary in the racing world to reduce rubber sidewall flex under extreme forces - what's this configuarion doing out there in the general vehicle population, anyway? It smells to me like another brainstorm concocted to get us lemmings to have to change to "something new" so as to continue anew lining a whole bunch of the Powers That Be's pockets.)
