Bent slide not sealing tight. Is this a problem? Pics

On this new camper I bought, somehow the previous owner dented the corner of the slide to where it doesn't completely seal at the bottom. The top seals tight. This is as far as it goes before the motor starts clicking. It does not appear to leak however I have not towed in a storm yet either. I tried to pull it out with my hand but the metal siding starts to separate.

  • The bulb seal looks like it is making contact and sealing while closed.......even crushing the bulb seal flat below the floor level.

I would be more concerned with the gap in sealant where floor section/trim make contact with slideout vertical
With slide open water could run down side and in behind vertical/horizontal areas where sealant has pulled loose/missing/gapped (3rd pix down)
  • Thank you for the advice!! If I find it is becoming a problem I will post here.
  • If there are no leaks, I wouldn't mess with it. No doubt the previous owner worked with it to get it as good as it is. Any more tinkering with it may start causing issues. In other words, it's not broke, don't fix it.

Wait till you drive in a rain and then decide if it need adjustment.
