Whether you opt to leave it ON or turn OFF/ON is a matter of choice.
One thing that will kill an absorption fridge is operating it 'off level'. That is what disrupts the flow of vapor/liquids/gravity. That WILL kill them.
My current Dometic has been ON for almost 7 yrs. Only need to set it on 2 temp setting (3 when it is really hot outside)
My last rv the fridge was ON for 5 yrs before selling rig.
These fridges work on heat transfer......every time you heat/cool is a thermal cycle...the more cycles the greater chance of fatigue.
Just my opinion based on 30+ yrs of operating boilers
