Best to keep absorption fridge running or shut down

I have ac power available where I store the fiver. I keep the Dometic running all during camping season on ac power. Only shut it down when winterized. I know there are no moving parts but looking ...

I always turn mine off when not in use. I've read these discussions many times and don't know the precise answer to the OP's question, so make up your own mind. My last fridge was 9 years old when I sold the trailer.
