Best way to trace leisure battery wires to source?

my answer failed to post a couple of times, but meter out the wires to frame ground. Low to 0 ohms "should" be ground/negative, whereas high to infinity "should" be positive.

So attach red multimeter wire to wire being tested and black to the frame or a known ground wire? I know very little about multimeters. Which ohms setting (number) should I put it on?
