- red_rangerExplorerThanks beemerphile that has to be an improvement. Its not acceptable that a heater won't work cause its too cold. We rarely boondocks in the cold so not worth the trouble to plumb it in, at least thats what DW says!
- beemerphile1ExplorerFirst thing would is leave the covers open. I have had frost on them but never stopped flowing fuel.

Yep, prolong the misery, thats the answer ??
Why not pretend its an OlyCat and plum it into the big tank ? - red_rangerExplorerI guess we will get extra bottles and another blanket !
- SkiingSixPackExplorerWe have run ours off a permanently plumbed hose into our MH system. It goes into the low pressure quick connect port on the big buddy. This has worked great for years. I know it should be able to be run off the small bottles, but the smaller the bottle of propane the more likely it is to freeze-up.
We can get a very long run time with the 20 lb. tank.
Good luck - MNtundraRetNavigator

Apparently they are too small and the quick withdrawal of fuel the temp drops too low and it freezes up. IMHO get a larger tank. :)
X2, or drop the unit to the low setting after getting it going. It may keep the freeze-up from too much draw from happening. - Alfred622Explorer
