When the controller (and you) think the batteries are charged, disconnect every wire from them, including the interconnects. Then take voltage readings every 10 minutes or so for about one hour on each battery separately.
Tell us what that says.
I did this when I noticed the drain, the batteries then seemed to drain "normally" or at least at a slower pace.
