How long is a long time?
If your batteries are low it will take over a day to get them back to 100% using a good converter/charger.. Just running it for 3-4 hrs is not enough when the batteries are as low as they are.
What make of converter do you have? Being that you have a 2008 Lance I will presume that you have a Progressive Dynamics PD9245...You should have a little controller that allows manual control of charging.

Do you know that it will take well over a couple of days for your truck to charge the camper batteries if they are as low as you have described? Not the best source to fully charge your low batteries.
When you get home from any trip you need to take care of your batteries. Just sitting, they will discharge and start destroying themselves after a month or so...(There are more technical terms for this but just keeping the info simple helps).
