We bought a wonder wash and had really good luck with it. When we got it we actually did a test with different soiled clothes, cleaned as good as our home washer.
We also bought a separate spin dryer. This made a huge difference. We could wash and spin dry a couple loads at night hang on rack in shower and they would be dry by morning. (like this: http://www.laundry-alternative.com/product/Mini-Countertop-Spin-Dryer)
Both store under the bed. We used it a lot on our trip cross country. Socks, Underwear, T-Shirts shorts. Forget about heavy clothes like sweat shirts or jackets.
