- 5thwheeleroldmaExplorerYou're in Mexico, find a stream with some large rocks, soak the clothes in the stream and slap on the rocks. Then hang on bushes to dry. Worked overseas a long time; that's the way it's done!
- MEXICOWANDERERExplorerThe HOT SETUP is two buckets, laundry soap, and an entertaining novel. Fill buckets half full of dirty clothes. Add soap then water. Remove shoes and socks. Stand in both buckets. Start marching. When you've finished two chapters, it's time to rinse.
- doxiemom11Explorer III bought a Wonder Wash to use in between runs to the laundry mat. Much less expensive, but not worth it. It didn't do anything more than I would do if I just filled the sink with wash water, washed by hand and then rinsed. It used more water. I'd just use a sink or bathtub. I've read that a good way to do it is using a new/clean toilet plunger as your agitator working it up and down mixing the clothes around, in, out, like a washer would, then rinse, wring and hang to dry.
- MEXICOWANDERERExplorerGotta store it, gotta feed it, gotta carry it. If it washes a single pair of pants and shirt it beats the hell out of a rock and scrub brush down at the stream.
