I'm pretty sure I could run both my a/cs on 20 amps. My problem is the 15 amp extension cord and GFCI to which I am connected. The 20 Amp breaker in the house has no problem. I worry the extension cord will melt and fry. According to my EMC, each a/c starts at 10 amps and settles to 7 amps...
In our tt, 15 amps would run the microwave and a/c but not the water heater with anything else. That thing was a power suck when it started up.
