You have the lo power units as I suspected. Here are the specs for your 13.5 units. Doug
Compressor - 7.7
Fan Motor - Low 2.3 — High 3.0
Total - Low 10.0 — High 10.7
Remember, IF it is below 95 degrees then the amp draw will drop 1 amp per 10 degrees BELOW 95 ambient.
These units were designed specifically for Fleetwood units that had 30 amp service and the Intellitec EMS system. They just carried over the units when 50 amp became standard on a lot of units.
Regardless of what you think and others have posted, the WEAKEST part of your existing setup, is, the WALL receptacle is rated at no more than 15 amp draw MAX. The 30 to 15 amp adapter is NOT designed to carry current over 15 amps. AND the odds are the romex in your house is NOT rated to carry that current over 15 amps. While it is obvious that your system is powering 2 AC units, it is NOT safe to do what you are doing.
