When I changed the brakes I had to open one of the bleeder values but bled them after putting the new pads on. I'm going to contact Auto Zone later today to see if they have a vacuum kit that I can rent this weekend so that I can change the brake fluid.
I recommend a pressure bleeder or classic two person bleed over all other options.
