After considerable flushing of my hydrant as well as other unused hydrants, the water never cleared up. After further conversation with the management, it was determined that the problem was isolated to one of the three wells. They had all the wells and plumbing interconnected at one place and were able to shut down the dirty system and operate on the remaining two. I never connected and used my own. The funny part is that nobody had a problem and didn't have a clue about the dirty water.
Even city municipalities will back-flush water systems via fire-hydrants once a year to get the build up of minerals out of them, and to keep dead-end lines from going stagnate.
