Breakaway Switch
Once a breakaway switch has been pulled can it be re-inserted or does it have to be replaced with a new switch. Mine goes back in only part way but not entirely back in. Thanks

I pull mine out sometimes to check to see if it is working OK. The plunger has a key which means it only goes back in a certain way. It has to pushed real hard until you hear it snap in place.
Leaving it out will drain your battery rather fast. Each BRAKE MAGNET will be drawing 3AMPS EACH. If this is a two axle trailer that will relate to around 12AMPS of DC CURRENT. Battery will not do this very long before discharging down...
