The small charger ran up to 44.9 volts.I was checking the voltage every 1/2 hour.the next time I went to check it it had shut off.I think I,ll use the small charger and hit them a couple times a year with the big charger.
Use a small charger until you get a better charger.
You want 44.5 bulk charging, then 40.5 Float. Small charger doesn't do Float, so get one that does.
You may also need 48.6 "several" times a year, possibly once a month, depends on how you use and charge your batteries.
46V (of a big charger) is too much for bulk charging and not enough for equalizing. Donate the big charger to somebody.
Keep in mind that these voltages - 44.5/40.5/48.6 - are for 77F. Need to raise a little when it's colder, or lower when it's hotter.
