I used to have a Generac 1000. (Enclosed traditional generator) really a Briggs & Strattion rated 1000 watts. ran my 80 amp just fine with very hungry batteries.
NOTE: if batteries are not all that hungry (Mine were BELOW 50 percent SOC) it takes less power to run charger. and Progressive Dynamics is not supposed to be PF-Corrected (Means it pulls more volt-amps)
Also note that Volt-Amps is volts times amps IT DOES NOT EQUAL Watts.
Watts = Volts * Amps * Power factor (A number never more than 1)
So a 1200 VA device may only be 900 watts. Or less.
