Bubbling/de-lamination

I have a 2008 30' Trail-Lite Travel Trailer. I am now getting some bubbling/de-lamination on the front/upper skin of the trailer from water around my front upper running lights. Is there a You Tube out there that shows how to repair the bubble/de-lamination?? Oh yes, is it worth the hassle & trouble of me trying to do it versus taking it into a RV Dealer??

Thank you

  • It's not easy and can be a expensive repair, usually a dealer repair entails replacing the affected surface. Do a search for "delamination" on the forums, you will find much discussion, pro and con for the prospects of a repair.
  • Depends on the size of the delam as well well as the location. Small area of delam might be fixed by simply drilling a couple tiny holes and injecting epoxy (West Marine carries epoxy used to fix delam in boats). Videos I have seen are the ones where guys are removing entire side panels .. big job.
