RJ, where does your posting about your Schu charger going to 16v etc fit in with your postings that the PD does it all?
It is confusing. Are you in fact following the standard battery recommendations such as US Battery's to give them high voltage overcharge sessions besides just what the PD converter does?

BFL,
Sorry if I misled you. I din't know about the 16volts when I bought it.
There is nothing I like about the 16.3 volts. I use it very little in my shop, and it charges the batteries in my 24v lawnmower, and my 12v hungary Dodge Caravan w/ power everything, that sits w/ the battery 1/2 dead all the time if I don't charge it now and then. So far it hasn't hurt it, but I would NEVER even think of putting it on my MH,....it gets nothing but the PD.
I posted it only for the hi voltage hydrometer finatics. If someone wants it, send email, along w/ a $30 bill, (I paid 60) and we both be thrilled.
Opinions opinions,....Shumacher seems to think 15-16 volts before float is proper, which both my 2 stage floaters go to 15.4 for a couple hrs before float. But my Deltrans.....which is on my boat batteries, goes to 14.4 max for 2 hrs before float, the same as my PD.
So which is correct, you tell me. To me is an opinion, and I'll sure trust either of them before I trust the "wannabe battery charger engineer finatics" here.:)
And I think we've even seen where a battery engineer ??? can have a whole nother opinion all of his own, and some how capable of brainwashing a whole bunch of others. :):):)
