Burnt out light bulb ?

Has anyone ever changed the light bulb in a Apollo Microwave/Convection oven?

Can I do it or does it need a high priced technician?
  • How many rv.net posters does it take to change a light bulb?
  • I've changed the bulb in an Apollo AAC24 half time oven. The oven has to come out, and its case has to come off. Stupid design. My Panasonic microwave at home is the same, except it's just sitting on the countertop. When my Apollo bulb went out I ignored it. It was only when there was a control board failure that I pulled it out and did the bulb at the same time.
  • To hell with changing light bulbs in microwave ovens...

    I soldered in a 3-amp 1,000 PIV diode

Which cuts lamp brightness a bit but will increase lifespan to decades.

Other bulbs of that fit are brighter but I didn't bother.

I appreciate the inside light when I have to line up the glass platter with the driver cog.

that's what you get for cleaning the MW
    bumpy :)
  • You know it's time to clean the microwave when you start hearing tiny high pitched screams every time you turn it on...
