I did some research and according to some of the things I saw the thermostat wire is ran threw the old ac to make the thermostat live and working and yes I still have my old furnace and old thermostat just a new unit up top that's a stand alone
Doesn’t your thermostat have of selector switch for AC / Heat?

It's helpful to have a lot more details. Like; what type of camper do you have?, year, make, model. Secondly, doesn't your thermostat already control the furnace? How does your furnace normally work?

So the old Tstat controlled the AC and furnace? You installed a new AC but still have the old furnace? Isn't the old Tstat still connected to the furnace since the new AC is stand alone? I'm confused about what exactly you did.
