With ours, there is a decorative piece of particle board covered in the same material as the other like pieces that are located around the top of the bedroom. The piece was held on by finish nails but I removed mine and put velcro in several spots to hold it on. This piece is the length of the slide and about 6" high and located at the very top of the slide. Remove the piece and you'll find the motor and adjustments. To move the slide out manually, a small drill extension is required that has 1/4 square drive on the end.
You really need to look at your owner's manual for the location and instructions on how to adjust the cables or operate manually. If you don't have a manual.... well, I guess you're on your own.
I'll help as much as I can, but I doubt if yours is exactly like mine.
