I have 2 Nest cameras, and they are almost 100% reliable. I'm very impressed with how they report activity, and also report when they are offline for whatever reason. They always recover within a few hours. That doesn't happen but maybe once a month. And they are wireless to my internet router.
I highly recommend them.
