Can I eliminate the expensive coax "multiple outlet" plug?

My multiple coax outlet plug is giving me fits. The bedroom screen is fuzzy and no matter how well I connect the coax cables it remains fuzzy. It seems to be the switch itself thats causing the prob...

If your factory/dealer isn't far away, that's where I'd be taking it.
Otherwise track every cable, make sure its wired right.
Also check.....make sure the antenna is being powered by the amplifier, which should be powered by 12v battery circuit
