I will try and answer all the questions above.
I have not added any other equipment other than what came with it in 92. It has a 13.5 AC, 1000w microwave, LP water heater (no electric), standard counter top toaster oven and the 2 way fridge. Keep in mind, not all are running at once.. The AC and fridge for sure, and the other common one is the microwave, but just when cooking something for a few minutes.
I have a 30A hook up at my house too. The plug and receptacle have both been new when I installed the power pole and all I ran was the AC and that caused the plug to melt. The outlet was fine, but the plug was hot.
I have been to CG's with worn out outlets and that has caused it to melt. I use to put a small twist in the plug blade a little to make a better connection and that would help.
Someone mentioned about the neutral and grounded being bonded together. How can I test to see if that is true?
