Disagree. The current flow is the same through the entire shore power circuit. Fixing the weak link will not move the hot spot somewhere else. It is of course possible that he has multiple hot spots and doesn't know it.
Yes it will, IF he is overloading the circuit(he is because of the continued problem), the problem will manifest anywhere else there is a smaller weaker connection. Wire nuts and loose screws on breakers or the breaker panel. I have seen complete breaker panels burnt up from this type problem caused by a loose weak Neutral or Hot at the breaker panel. Doug
