- aruba5erExplorerYes it had plugs for the in/out ends, but I prefer to have the resin stay in the tank rather then blow some out everytime I hooked it back up. Kinda hard to get the beads back into the tank.

The Mark 8000 also comes with nylon caps to prevent leakage during transport.
You can store it on its side without fear of getting water in your luggage compartment or basement.
Twice a year perform a back flush of the system. Back flushing is preformed by feeding water into the outlet port of the system allowing water to flow out of the inlet connection at a rate of one (1) gallon per minute. This reverse flow process mechanically cleans the resin beads. Back flush for 5 minutes
If unit is to be regenerated perform back flushing first. - CT_WANDERERExplorer

I tried that and the resin beads came out the inlet (I belive). From then on I stored it upright
Doesn't it have 'caps' for in/out to use when storing??
Is aruba5er talking about back flushing? I could be wrong but I did not see where flowpur talks about back flushing the 8000 unit. But I am new user with the flowpur 8000. This is my first winter with it. Any information I get on it is great. Gary - Old-BiscuitExplorer III
