Can I wire my TM2020 with speaker wire?
I originally wired it with a CAT5 patch cable. That failed last winter. I happen to have a lot of speaker wire of various gauges. It's about a 15 - 20' run. Any good reason not to use speaker wire?

- Speaker wire comes in sizes all over the board.. I see someone posted the wire size/run chart.. So as long as the wire is big enough, GO FOR IT.
- There's basically no current in the sense wires, so electrically speaking the wire does not need to be very heavy at all. Mechanical considerations are the main concern in this case. Speaker wire should work perfectly well, though I'd personally want to enclose it in some split-loom tubing for better protection if it's exposed.
- Yes as long as the insulation will hold up in the conditions.
- I have no idea what a TM2020 is, can someone enlighten me?

Remote Locatable: Up to 55 feet with four #22 ga. wires. Up to 150 feet with #18 wire. Longer distances are possible with larger wire size
