Yes, the pump flows right to left. The galvanized box on the right is the water tank, and the hose from the 'T' that goes through the floor is likely the low point drain for the tank.
I don't recall seeing many galvanized tanks after the 70's. As previously noted, the pump has 1975 date on it.
