People mod their RVs all the time with stuff not designed by the manufacturer.
Getting 240v is a slam dunk.
I would probably add a subpanel at the cord entrance and pull wire to the split unit. Probably get a quad breaker with 50/20 connection and you are good to go. Worst case you get two breakers.
Subpanel might have to go after the transfer switch if you have a generator that gives 240.
