The short answer is yes. PROVIDED you are on 50 amps and not 30 it won't work at all on 30.
The longer answer however is a tad more complex.
Now normally 50 amp service is L1-N-L2 back at the transformer there is one winding. L-1 and L-2 are the ends of the winding. N is a center tap. So it's 120-120 or 240 volt overall.
And your A/C will work
Some parks however .. "Cheat.. They feed 100 amps down the wire, and use it to feed both legs of the 50 amp outlet.. An Intelletec EMS will detect this as 30 amp service (For that is how the voltages are "Split" when you use a 30 amp dogbone)
Since there is zero leg to leg voltage. the 240 volt unit will not work in such a park or on a 30 amp site..
Thus I would NOT recommend such a unit.
You do not feed or push amps anywhere. Amps are drawn by the equipment utilized. Campsites do no hook to 100 amp breakers.
50 amp service is conned to a 50 amp breaker. It's 120/240 50 amps. 240 is fed to your RV. 240 cannot be accessed in 90% of RV's
